William J. "Bill" Bergstrom, 58 of Elgin, Nebraska, died at his home Saturday, May 28,
2011, following a battle with cancer.

A public visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Huffman-Levander
Funeral Home in Elgin. Private family services will be held, followed by interment at West Cedar
Valley Cemetery in Elgin.

William Joseph Bergstrom, son of Ivan S. & Joan F. (Keil) Bergstrom, was born April 15,
1953 at Neligh, NE. He grew up in Elgin, attending Elgin Public Schools and graduating from
Elgin High School with the class of 1971. Bill attended Norfolk Technical College for a short time
before returning to CVA.

Bill began working for Farmers Coop Exchange (currently CVA) while in high school and
returned to the company after his short time at college. He enjoyed the friends he worked with
and the work he did for more than 40 years.

Bill enjoyed fishing, hunting, working on his cars, and spending time on his computer.
Bill is survived by a brother Thomas Bergstrom and wife Mary of Norfolk, NE; nephew
Tom Bergstrom Jr. and wife Julie of Omaha, NE; Niece Andrea Borgman and husband Reid of
Kansas City, KS; 2 great-nephews: Jesse Bergstrom of Springview, NE and Mason Borgman of
Kansas City, KS; and one great-niece: Ava Borgman of Kansas City, Kansas.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
