Joan F. Bergstrom |
Joan Fern Bergstrom, daughter of
Joseph and Iona (Schwab) Keil was born March 9,
1931 in Elgin, NE. She attended Elgin Public Schools
and graduated with the class of 1949.
In April 1951, Joan was united in marriage to
Ivan “Ike” Bergstrom. Joan worked
part-time for two years at the Farmers Store in
Elgin and in 1972 began a 25+ year career at the
Bank of Elgin.
Joan is survived by two sons: Tom Bergstrom and
wife Mary of Norfolk, NE; Bill Bergstrom of Elgin,
NE; two grandchildren: Tom Bergstrom Jr. wife
Julie of Omaha, NE; Andrea Borgman and husband
Reid of Kansas City, KS; three great-grandchildren:
Jesse Bergstrom of Omaha, NE; Mason and Ava Borgman
of Kansas City, KS.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband
Ike in 1999; and brother Robert Keil.
