Ardis Ann Noffke, daughter of Harold
and Viola (Strong) Parks, was born May 14, 1944
at Dalton, NE. She was baptized and confirmed
at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Ewing,
attended elementary school in O’Neill, NE
and graduated from Ewing High School with the
Class of 1962. After graduation, she worked at
the Gambles store in Ewing and was a waitress
at the local café.
On February 16, 1963, she was united in marriage
to Loren Lee “Larry” Noffke at St.
Peter’s Catholic Church in Ewing, NE. The
couple made their home in Ewing all of their married
life, where Ardis was a homemaker and raised their
children.
Ardis was a member of St. Peter’s Christian
Mothers and her “Coffee Club”. She
enjoyed making crafts, reading, shopping, talking
to friends and family on the telephone, and most
of all spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her parents: Harold and Viola
Parks of Ewing; 1 son: Mike Noffke and wife Bridget
of Grand Junction, CO; 2 daughters: Teresa Pokorny
and husband Galen of Bellwood, NE; Denise Whitlock
and husband Chuck of Beemer, NE; 11 grandchildren:
Kassie, Robert, Calvin, Jennifer, Steven, Rebecca,
Allison, Michael, KatieAnn, Roxanne, and Brooke;
2 great-grandchildren: Javon and Zoe; 1 brother:
Harold “Punk” Parks of O’Neill;
2 sisters: Anita Lofquest and husband Terry of
Overland Park, KS; Viola Montgomery and husband
Gary of Lincolnton, NC; mother-in-law: Bert Noffke
of Ewing; along with many other relatives and
friends.
Ardis was preceded in death by her husband Larry
in 2005; 1 son: Tom Noffke in 1987; and her father-in-law:
Frank Noffke in 1998.
