Mary Jane Overton


Mary Jane passed away Thursday, September 2, 2010 at Triumph Hospital in Mandan, ND.

Mary Jane Henn, daughter of Sylvester and Ada (Stokes) Henn was born March 20, 1945 on the family farm near Elgin, Nebraska. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Elgin. She attended St. Boniface Elementary School, graduated from St. Boniface High School with the class of 1963 and later attended trade school in Minnesota before returning to Nebraska and marrying Ralph Overton. She lived throughout the Midwest, spending time in Nebraska, Montana, New Mexico, Missouri and North Dakota. She finally settled in Dickinson, North Dakota where she has lived for the last 20 years. Mary Jane's hobbies included crafts, playing cards, reading, gardening, and crocheting. The greatest joy in her life was her grandchildren and she enjoyed every moment spent with them.

Mary Jane is survived by her 5 brothers: Floyd (Marlene) Henn, Roger (Joan) Henn, Dean (Mary Jane) Henn, Dan (Readean) Henn, Terry (Jan) Henn, all of Nebraska; 1 sister: Lois (Robert) Camp of South Dakota; 2 sons: Trent Overton of St.Louis, MO; Nolan (LaCota) Overton of Dickinson, ND; and 1 daughter: Nicole Overton of Dickinson, ND; and her 8 grandchildren: Jacob, Zachary, Jennifer, Kelton, Vanessa, KaDynse, Dante`¨,EvaRyst; Also calling her grandma are Finny, Connor and MyKa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sylvester and Ada Henn, her sister, Delores Henn ,Sister-in-law Marjorie Henn, and niece Cindy Bohaboj
