In Memory Of
Kenneth W. Richart

Kenneth Walter Richart, son of Frank and Emily (Dozler) Richart was born June 8, 1935 in rural Antelope County. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Elgin, NE, attended school at a rural Antelope County School and later St. Boniface School.

Ken was united in marriage to Joan J. Jenkins on June 15, 1956 at Bartlett, NE. The couple made their home in the Elgin area where they raised their family of six children. Ken worked at Elgin Lumber, drove a milk truck, and later retired after 30+ years working with the Antelope County Roads Department.


He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards, and playing pranks on others. Ken was a member of the Elgin Volunteer Fire Department for many years.


Ken is survived by his wife Joan of Elgin, NE; four daughters: Sue Richart of Elgin, NE; Karen (Tim) Cakebread of Tilden, NE; Margaret Richart of Benkelman, NE; Amy (John) Schofield of Lincoln, NE; son-in-law: Jim Beltz of Norfolk, NE; sister: Barb (Larry) Hansen of Norfolk, NE; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.


He was preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter Emily; daughter Deborah Beltz; granddaughter Lexis Abbenhaus; sisters: Elaine (Dick) Beckman; Leora (Rich) Blaha; brother: Ron Richart; nephew Greg Beckman.
