In Memory Of
Constance A. Spangler

Constance Ann Jeanette Spangler, daughter of Gail & Lulu (Rogers) Wilcox, was born December 28, 1920 at Page, Nebraska. She attended school near Ewing and graduated from the 8th grade. After receiving her education, she lived with her parents and helped with the farm and housework.

On March 25, 1942, Connie was united in marriage to Wilson W. “Dutch” Spangler at Grand Island, Nebraska. The couple lived south of Ewing where she was a homemaker and raised their children. In January of 2000, Connie entered the Golden Living Center at O’Neill, NE and in November of 2007, moved to the Golden Living Center in Neligh, NE.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Sanders Post #214 in Ewing and the United Methodist-Presbyterian Church U.S.A. in Ewing, NE.

Connie died Saturday, March 22, 2008 at the Golden Living Center in Neligh, NE.

She is survived by 5 children: Thelma Spangler of Colorado Springs, CO; Jerald (Jessie) Spangler of Ewing, NE; Sharon (Ernie) Christiansen of Creighton, NE; Gwen (Jim) Kethcart of Norfolk, NE; Laura Rommers of Ewing, NE; 8 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 1 brothers: Bennie Wilcox of Neligh, NE; 1 sister-in-law: Jean Wilcox of Clearwater, NE.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents; husband Wilson in 1974; infant son William; daughter Lois Willers; 7 brothers: Wayne, Donald, Ralph, William, Joyce, Robert and Warren Wilcox.
