Edward Starman Family,

I receive the Elgin Review here in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area usually a week after Elgin residents do. I was saddened and surprised to learn that your husband and father had passed away. During my last visit to Elgin with my husband, Kursat, my mother, Margie, Kursat and I enjoyed lunch and conversation at the Senior Center, and Eddie and Eleanor were at the table. I remember how cheerful Eddie was and, above all, what a genuine gentleman he was.

I send my heartfelt condolences to Eleanor and Eddie's children; I send a special condolence to Phil, my classmate of six years in Elgin.

Sincerely yours,

Nancy Baum

Dear cousins,

I'm so sorry about your loss. He was a true gift to everyone who knew him. May he find peace and joy in heaven and enjoy all our relatives and friends up there!
Last year (2008) before Deanie died, I and Henrietta both wrote to Deanie and Eddie's daughters to tell everyone "hello" up there when she got there and then she had a dream saying that she saw Mom, Pop and Tony who said to tell us "hello" too and then they told her to come "Home". We felt better after that.
