Janelle Eileen Loges, daughter of John J. and
Elizabeth L. (Sheets) Loges, was born July 5,
1952 at University of Nebraska Medical Center
in Omaha, NE. She grew up in the Arlington, NE
area, attending school at Fremont Public Schools
and graduating from Fremont High School with the
class of 1970. After graduation, she worked at
the Campbell Soup Company in Omaha, NE.
On, August 22, 1970 she was united in marriage
to David C. Grundman Sr. The couple made their
home at Hooper, NE where Janelle was a homemaker
and raised her children. After a divorce in 1976,
she and her children moved to Magnolia, IA . Janelle
married Howard V. Weed on December 3, 1980 at
Logan, IA. They continued living in Magnolia,
IA and she worked for Small’s Orchard in
Mondamin, IA. In 1997, Janelle moved to Oakdale,
NE where she lived for the past 13 years.
She was a member of the Oakdale Fun Club, volunteered
to help with many bake sales in the community
and was baptized a member of the Mormon Faith.
She enjoyed fishing, camping, crocheting, traveling,
bingo, music, spending time on the internet, collecting
salt and pepper shakers, and the occasional trip
to the casino.
Janelle passed away on Friday, March 12, 2010
at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk,
NE.
She is survived by her special friend, Claude
Hansen of Oakdale, NE; four children: Dalynna
Robertson and husband Tommie Jr. of Elgin; David
Grundman Jr. of Oakdale, NE; Darrell Weed and
wife Kelly of Norfolk, NE; Donnelle Weed of Oakdale,
NE; 9 grandchildren; one brother: William Loges
Sr. and wife Marilyn of Elden, MO; one sister:
Anita Jensen of Magnolia, IA.
Janelle is preceded in death by her parents; one
brother Donald Loges Sr.; one brother-in-law:
Gene Jensen; former husband: Howard Weed.
